The New Real Design SuperSonic 50

Real Design is pleased to announce that all models are now available to ship.

Of the all of the new wheelsets available, we are probably most excited about the new SuperSonic 50 clincher. This is due to the extreme versatility the wheelset possesses. The wheels are light enough for climbing, but deep and aero enough to hold speed on flat and rolling terrain.

As the name entails, the SuperSonic 50 possesses a 50mm carbon profile and utilizes carbon clincher technology. The profile is deeper than the Zipp 303, but the SuperSonics are an ounce lighter (1599g vs. 1623g) and almost 1/3 the price ($799 vs. $2185). To say this wheelset is a tremendous value would be an enormous understatement.

Like all Real Design wheels, the Supersonic 50s are hand built, laced with Sapim CX Ray bladed spokes, and roll on sealed cartridge bearing hubs that are lightweight, durable, and easy to service.

Carbon, Carbon, Carbon

After months of testing, ordering, and patiently waiting, Real Design is happy to announce that our stock of carbon rims have finally started to arrive! We are expecting our complete order to arrive in Nashville over the next 2-3 weeks.

Real Design will soon have all of the inventory needed to build YOUR perfect racing and/or training wheelset.

Carbon Tubular and Clincher Rims will be stocked in 50, 60, and 90mm depths.

We will also continue to keep stock of our popular 30mm aluminum clinchers and the UltraSonic Disc.

Custom wheelsets are also available upon request and look for the VERY custom UltraSonic 40 wheelset to debut at a cyclocross race near you this fall.
